Man is arrested on suspicion of stabbing a woman to death in Oiapoque, Amapá A 51-year-old man was arrested red-handed by the Amapá Civil Police this Monday (6), suspected of killing a 54-year-old woman in the municipality of Oiapoque, in the extreme north of the state. According to investigations, the victim was struck by a knife in the abdomen after leaving a bar in the city center. Witnesses reported that the suspect spent the night approaching women with sexual connotations and, after being rejected, followed the victim to a poorly lit place, where the attack occurred. ? During the journey, an argument began with the suspect, who struck two knife blows, hitting the victim", explained police chief Felipe Rodrigues, responsible for the case. Even injured, the woman managed to walk to the hospital in search of help, but could not resist the severity of her injuries. The suspect was located and arrested red-handed. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, claiming a disagreement with the victim. Also according to information from the police, it was found that the suspect had already been the target of investigation in March this year, for attempted murder against another woman in the municipality, when he allegedly inflicted a knife blow on the victim's neck. Given the circumstances, the man was charged with feminicide, as there was evidence that the victim was chosen because of her status as a woman, after rejecting the author's advance.
