The man's body was in the bathroom, and the woman's was in one of the bedrooms. Firefighters also rescued a 62-year-old man from inside the property. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to medical care. The other residents were removed from the scene, and the fire was controlled after firefighters used 7 thousand liters of water. According to Curitiba City Hall, 25 people were in the building. Of this number, seven were sent to public shelters and the others were taken to the homes of friends and family. The Building Safety Coordination (Cosedi) closed the building, which is located on Rua Conselheiro Laurindo, after a technical assessment carried out this Sunday morning. The Civil Police (PC-PR) informed that it will open a police investigation to determine the causes of the fire. The bodies of the victims were sent to the Curitiba Scientific Police. Identities were not released.
