Student takes 'voadora' and is attacked in Muriaé A 17-year-old student was attacked with punches and kicks shortly after the end of classes at Escola Estadual Dr. Olavo Tostes, in the Barra neighborhood, in Muriaé. According to the Military Police, the teenager was leaving school with two friends, around 10:20 pm last Thursday (2), when he was surrounded by the attackers. Among the suspects are an 18-year-old young man and three teenagers who are serving a sentence in a socio-educational unit. The names were not given. ? The corporation, however, did not inform the participation of the victim and suspects in the case nor their relationship with the leak of the content. To protect themselves, the three students ran back inside the school and asked for help. The boy's friends said they tried to film the attack with their cell phone, but the attackers forced them to delete the images and made death threats. The attacked teenager was taken to the city's Emergency Care Unit (UPA), where he received medical attention and was subsequently released. After searching the area, police located the four people involved. The 18-year-old was arrested red-handed and the three teenagers from the socio-educational unit were apprehended. All were taken to the Civil Police Duty Station. In a statement, the State Department of Education of Minas Gerais (SEE-MG) repudiated the aggression and reported that the school management took all appropriate measures and provided immediate assistance to the student. The case was referred to the Guardianship Council and a team of psychologists and social workers will monitor the victims. The Civil Police reported that they initiated a police procedure to fully investigate the facts. The police interviewed the victims, witnesses and suspects.
