To g1, the biologist and executive director of the institution, Bruno Stephanis, stated that it is a young individual and that the appearance of sea lions on the coast of Alagoas is considered rare. "These are animals that get lost and, probably, that is what happened. We sent technicians to Jequiá beach to monitor the situation", explained the expert. ?Join the g1 Alagoas channel According to Stephanis, it is still not possible to predict the animal's next movements or know whether it will remain in the waters of Alagoas or will continue its journey and will not be seen in the state again. The Institute advises that when seeing marine animals stranded or resting on the beach, the population should keep their distance from the animal and avoid any type of contact.
