The confusion began on the side of the field, after an argument between players from both teams. During the disagreement, an athlete from the blue team fell to the lawn and was surrounded by opponents until his teammates arrived. The situation seemed under control when a Cruzeiro player stepped on the fallen athlete's leg. Then, another athlete tried to lift him by force, was expelled by the referee and, soon after, lost control and kicked his opponent in the face. He had to be restrained by other people and left the field. According to Miguel's mother, Miriam Cristina, the young man is awaiting transfer to the Campinas State University Hospital (Unicamp), in Campinas. The family said they will file a police report. Player suspended for 720 days In a note published this afternoon, the Bragantina Football League reported that the player responsible for the aggression was suspended for 720 days. During this period, he is prohibited from participating in competitions and events organized by the entity.
