ViaLagos invests R$ 12 million in works to restore pavement on RJ-124

Via Lagos Disclosure/ Motivates highways ViaLagos is carrying out a program to revitalize the pavement of RJ-124, with an investment of approximately R$12 million. The works began in 2025 and are expected to be completed in September this year. The services include milling and recomposing the asphalt on more than 128 thousand square meters of the track, an area equivalent to around 17 football fields. According to the concessionaire, the objective is to increase the useful life of the highway, in addition to offering more safety and comfort to drivers. The concessionaire informed that the work was planned to maintain fluidity in one of the main connections between the Metropolitan Region and the Lakes Region, especially during busy periods. To carry out the work, ViaLagos mobilized a team of 54 professionals and 45 pieces of equipment. Laboratory tests are also carried out before, during and after the application of the new flooring to check the quality and durability of the materials used. In total, the concessionaire plans to recover 33.1 kilometers of the highway, apply around 6.7 thousand tons of asphalt mixture and renew the horizontal signage on more than 17 thousand square meters.
