Woman who held 'treason reveal tea' says baby's health is priority The 9th Civil Chamber of the Court of Justice of Rio Grande do Sul (TJRS) unanimously upheld the decision that denied the payment of compensation to farmer Rafael Eduardo Schemmer against his ex-partner, Natália Knak, and her aunt, appointed as responsible for filming the event that became known as the "treason reveal tea". The trial took place last Thursday (30). The judges rejected the appeals of the farmer, who asked for R$100,000 and the removal of the video from the internet, and also of his ex-partner, who requested R$150,000. A request for reparation made by the woman's aunt was also denied. ? The magistrate assessed that Natália's attitude was not an isolated act of revenge, but the response of a pregnant woman to the discovery of successive betrayals. Despite recognizing the public repercussion of the episode, the TJRS concluded that the farmer did not prove any concrete damage to his honor or professional life. The request to remove the video from social media was denied because its wide circulation rendered the attempt harmless. Regarding the ex-partner's appeal, the rapporteur stated that infidelity, in itself, does not generate the right to moral damages. The judge highlighted that the man's conduct is morally reprehensible and causes suffering, but highlighted that "not all pain can be monetized". The case gained repercussion after the video, recorded in Quinze de Novembro, a municipality with around 3,900 inhabitants in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, went viral. The recording took place at Rafael's parents' house, when Natália Knak gathered family members and held a "revelation tea" to publicly expose her partner's betrayals. "I didn't just discover one betrayal. I discovered several," he said. Natália has a box in her hands, with a pink and a blue ribbon. A female voice even suggests that it could be a pregnancy. "Which one is really your legitimate son? And which one is your son with your lover?", asks the woman as she opens the box and places two pieces of children's clothing over the man's shoulders. From then on, the woman begins to expose her partner's supposed double life. At one point, she throws a stack of printed sheets with message exchanges and photos that were on her husband's cell phone and that would prove infidelity. "I didn't just discover one betrayal. I discovered several", continues Natália. According to Rafael's lawyer, around 30 family members attended the moment. Natália asked a family member to record the video. It is unclear who first published the recording. In view of the dossier presented, relatives who were at the event stated that they were aware of the extramarital affairs, which would include a child outside of wedlock.
