The festival celebrates the traditional meeting of stars Orihime and Hikoboshi, inspired by a Japanese legend. On Saturday (25), the party starts at 10am and goes until 10pm. The program includes musical shows, martial arts presentations and, in the late afternoon, the Tooro Nagashi ceremony takes place, illuminating the lake with lights. ? The couple became involved in such a devastating way that they began to live their love intensely to the point of abandoning their daily tasks. Mr. Tentei was so furious and indignant at Orihime and Hikoboshi's total lack of responsibility that he decided to punish them. To do this, he separated the couple and placed each one in an opposite corner of the Milky Way. As a result, the young people became very sad. Upon seeing his daughter with so much sadness over the separation, the father decided to alleviate the young people's situation, allowing them to meet only once a year, on the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, as long as they fulfilled his order to respond to all requests coming from planet Earth on this date.
