The current projection indicates that the social security deficit exceeds the R$2.5 billion mark, while the municipality's future obligation could reach R$3.8 billion. The administration argues that the reform is necessary to fund social security and correct percentages considered unsustainable for public coffers. Main points of the proposal: Gradual increase in the minimum retirement age, following parameters already adopted by the Federal Pension Reform. Changes in the contributions of retirees, but in a staggered manner, preserving those who receive lower salaries. The contribution of active servers will remain at 14%.
