The information was released by Taubaté City Hall this Friday (17). According to the municipal administration, in the coming days the work plan and technical documentation presented by the social organization will be analyzed to verify whether it meets the required requirements. SPDM was one of three entities invited by the city hall this week. The selection was based on organizations responsible for managing public hospitals that appear among the ten best placed in a national survey prepared by the Brazilian Institute of Social Health Organizations (Ibross), as long as they had active qualifications to work in Taubaté. SPDM has already sued the city hall. The organization already managed the hospital between 2019 and 2024. At the time, the contract was terminated after the relationship with the municipality was terminated. SPDM claimed a debt of around R$30 million from the city hall and even took the municipal administration to court. Taubaté City Hall states that the emergency hiring seeks to ensure an adequate and uninterrupted transition in serving the population until the process to define the hospital's new permanent manager is completed.
