Show will be presented this Sunday (26) at Homerinho Personal Archive The show “The Inspector General”, inspired by the work of Russian writer Nikolai Gógol, will be presented this Sunday (26), in two sessions, at 5 pm and 7:30 pm, at Theatro Homerinho, in the Jaraguá neighborhood, in Maceió. ?The production is directed by Alagoan native Aldine de Souza and brings together intermediate level I students of the Free Theater Course at the Center for Scenic Research (CEPEC). The play is composed of 11 people, including students and guest actors, who have already attended CEPEC. The center has been on the road training actors since 2013. ?Join the g1 Alagoas channel The comedy tells the story of a city that goes into panic with the news of the arrival of a secret inspector. Faced with the possibility of being inspected, local authorities try to hide their mistakes and preserve appearances, giving rise to a series of misunderstandings and comical situations. The production addresses topics such as corruption, abuse of power, personal interests and lack of commitment to the public good. The proposal is to bring the classic work closer to issues present in today's society.

According to actor Henri Lessa, the show seeks to provoke reflection on social problems that persist over time and on collective responsibility in the face of choices that influence society. For actor Sérgio Alves, the absurd situations experienced by the characters help to discuss issues that remain current. The montage maintains the satirical character of Gógol's work and uses humor to address power relations and human contradictions.
