Two men, aged 35 and 39, were arrested red-handed after trying to rob a convenience store on Monday night (3), in Vila Joaquim Inácio, in Campinas (SP). They were detained when they tried to escape. The incident took place on Rua Capitão Samuel Ferreira. According to the police report, the pair entered the establishment and announced the robbery. However, the local security guard noticed that the suspects were unarmed, reacted and managed to expel them. On the street, they ran when they saw the approach of a Military Police vehicle that was patrolling the region. A video recorded by security cameras shows the agents running after them with weapons drawn. The two were arrested and taken to the police station and remain at the disposal of the courts. The case was registered as an attempted robbery in the 1st Police District of Campinas.
