While thousands of entrepreneurs visit the 2026 Entrepreneur Fair in search of knowledge, innovation and business opportunities, a strategic group also participates in the program with the mission of taking this learning to all regions of the state. On August 14th and 15th, Development Agents (ADs), Entrepreneur Rooms attendants and Sebrae partners participate in the Extended Network Meeting, an initiative aimed at training, exchanging experiences and integrating the support network for small businesses in Maranhão. The meeting is part of the Fair's programming as it recognizes the essential role of Sebrae Extended Network attendants as a link between entrepreneurs and policies to encourage local economic development. They are the ones who, on a daily basis, guide entrepreneurs, support the formalization of new businesses, promote training and coordinate partnerships that boost the business environment in their municipalities. On the first day, held at Espaço Terezinha Jansen, the program brings together a panel on smart cities and local development, a presentation of successful experiences and a motivational talk about belonging and transformation. On the second day, participants go to SebraeLab, where they participate in the "Innovation that Connects" workshop, held in two groups. The activity will present methodologies, tools and practices aimed at improving service to entrepreneurs and implementing innovative actions that can be adapted to the reality of each municipality. Meeting brings together employees from the Extended Network to exchange experiences and training during the 2026 Entrepreneur Fair. Sebrae/Disclosure Expectations for participation For those who work directly in serving small businesses, the meeting represents an opportunity to update knowledge, share experiences and improve operations in the territories. The coordinator of the Governor Nunes Freire (MA) Entrepreneur Room, Patrícia Pessoa, highlights that the program will allow you to learn about successful initiatives and strategies capable of generating concrete results in the municipality. "The meeting allows us to learn about good practices, exchange experiences and expand our vision of local development. Everything we learn here will be taken to the municipality and transformed into actions that boost small businesses, encourage formalization and create new opportunities for entrepreneurs. It is an investment in the qualification of those who are on the front line of serving entrepreneurs", he states. The expectation is also shared by the coordinator of the Bacabeira Entrepreneur Room, Luís Fernandes, who sees the meeting as an opportunity to improve the work carried out in the municipality. "I am very happy and eager to participate in this program organized by Sebrae. It will be an opportunity to exchange experiences with Development Agents from different municipalities, learn about good practices and discuss initiatives that can further improve our service and generate positive results for Bacabeira. Extended Network attendants are the bridge between public authorities, entrepreneurs and partner institutions, creating opportunities and encouraging actions that boost local development", he highlights. The team from the Bacabeira Entrepreneur Room participates in the Extended Network Meeting during the 2026 Entrepreneur Fair. Sebrae/Disclosure According to the state manager of Sebrae Maranhão Service, Marina Lavareda, the meeting was designed to connect professionals who work directly in development of small businesses, encouraging the exchange of experiences and the construction of solutions that contribute to the sustainable growth of municipalities in Maranhão.
