He was shot in the heart. According to delegate Ramirez Almeida, who investigated the case, the victim and suspect were involved in an argument during the event. The disagreement, according to the police, was motivated by jealousy, as Cristian's girlfriend is the victim's ex-partner. According to the delegate, after the fight, Rubens left the event with friends. About 20 minutes later, still in the parking lot, the suspect went to his own car, grabbed a gun and shot the victim. Rubens was rescued by a private ambulance and taken to the Campina Grande Trauma Hospital. He underwent emergency medical procedures, but could not resist the severity of his injuries and died. Cristian Dantas was also injured during the fight. After being arrested, he was taken to the Trauma Hospital for medical care and then taken to the Police Center and arrested. Also in the complaint, the judge mentions evidence that Larissa had instigated Christian and that the weapon used was stored in her vehicle. The decision also determined that the case remains confidential, because it was argued that the defendants suffered "virtual lynching", hate speech and real death threats on social media.
