According to Linha Verde, the Chilean line is produced with ground quartz and has a higher cutting power than cerol, increasing the risk of accidents, especially with motorcyclists, cyclists and pedestrians. On July 2nd, the program launched the "Danger in the Air, No Chilean Line" campaign, to warn about the risks of using this type of material during school holidays, when the practice of flying kites tends to increase. Until last Friday (10), the service reported having received 470 complaints related to the manufacture, sale and use of cerol and Chilean thread in different municipalities in the state.
