Chico Batata/TJAM The municipality of Tabatinga, in the interior of Amazonas, will receive, starting this Monday (20), a new edition of the "Register!" collective effort, which offers free document issuance and regularization services. The action takes place until Thursday (23), at the João Carlos Pereira dos Santos Full-Time Education Center (Ceti), with service starting at 8am. Coordinated regionally by the General Inspectorate of Justice of Amazonas (CGJ-AM), the task force aims to combat civil under-registration and expand the population's access to basic documentation. This will be the third edition of the project in municipalities in the interior of the state in 2026. During the four days of service, the population will be able to: issue a National Identity Card (CIN); request the first and second copies of the birth certificate; obtain a live birth certificate; request the inclusion of ethnicity in the civil registry; receive guidance to correct documents; and access care aimed at the immigrant population. In addition to documentation services, the program includes a collective wedding for around 60 couples. The ceremony will be held on Monday (20), at 4pm, at the Amazônia Régia Auditorium, in partnership with Tabatinga City Hall and the municipal registry office. According to the organization, Thursday (23), the last day of the joint effort, will be reserved for return services. The action is part of a project by the National Council of Justice (CNJ), carried out in Amazonas by the General Inspectorate of Justice, with support from the City of Tabatinga, State Public Defender's Office (DPE-AM), Federal Revenue, Federal Police, Civil Police of Amazonas, through the Identification Institute, State Secretariat of Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship (Sejusc), National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples (Funai), UN Agency for Refugees (UNHCR), International Organization for Migration (IOM) and other partner institutions.
