"We want to put an end to this shame, which is illiteracy in Rio Grande do Norte, which remains very high. We are going to do a big collective effort and we are going to see thousands of students. There are teachers to end illiteracy in two years", said the candidate. "We are also going to make a revolution in the quality of education, increasing the percentage of full-time education. This is also a secret. And we are also going to value my fellow teachers in salary and professional terms. We are going to value all public servants in the state", he added. PSOL will contest this year's elections in Rio Grande do Norte in coalition with Rede Sustentabilidade. Convention calendar Conventions are events in which party members meet to choose candidates in elections. The deadline is August 5th. Next, the names must be registered with the Superior Court (TSE) by August 15th. The election campaign officially begins the following day. In this year's elections, on October 4th, Brazilians will vote for: president; governor; Senate (two seats per state); federal deputy; state deputy. Robério Paulino's trajectory Robério Paulino was born in Nilópolis, Rio de Janeiro, in 1957. He has a PhD in Economic History from the University of São Paulo and is a professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), where he teaches in the Department of Public Policies. The candidate ran for the position of mayor of Natal twice, in 2012 and 2016, before being elected councilor of the capital for the first time, in 2020.
