The award ceremony is scheduled for November 25th, in São Luís, Maranhão. In this edition, the Professor Samuel Benchimol Award will select three winning proposals, which will receive R$ 20 thousand each to be used in the development of the projects. The honorary category will recognize a personality who stood out for his effective contribution to the development of the Amazon region, reinforcing the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship and the production of knowledge focused on the challenges and opportunities of the Amazon. The evaluation of applications will be conducted by a Judging Committee made up of experts of recognized competence, coming from the scientific community, the productive sector, public management and institutions with prominent operations in the Amazon. ? The Professor Samuel Benchimol and Banco da Amazônia Awards for Conscious Entrepreneurship have consolidated themselves, over more than two decades, as a national reference in valuing transformative initiatives aimed at the Amazon. More than recognizing projects and trajectories of excellence, the award strengthens cooperation networks, encourages innovation and contributes to increasing the visibility of solutions capable of promoting development with income generation, social inclusion and environmental conservation. In the 2026 edition, the Federation of Industries of the State of Maranhão (FIEMA) holds the Executive Presidency of the Awards, coordinating the event in partnership with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), through the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict), the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the Federations of Industries of the Legal Amazon. In addition to hosting the awards ceremony in São Luís (MA), FIEMA leads the institutional coordination and support for the organization of this edition, reinforcing the commitment of the Maranhão industrial sector to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development in the Amazon.
