Pastor reported the case on social media and asked for help for the child An 11-year-old girl is hospitalized in serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics (Into-AC) in Rio Branco with suspicion of ingesting caustic soda. The Civil Police confirmed that they received a complaint that the stepmother gave the product to the child and are investigating the case. A police report was registered at the Child and Adolescent Victim Assistance Police Station (Decav) this Monday (6) by pastor Regiane Maciel, a neighbor of the family that rescued the child. The case generated repercussions and moved many people. In the video, the pastor asks for donations of clothes for the girl. "If you have clothes from your 11 or 12-year-old daughter, look for me. Guys, her panties are from 6-month-olds," he lamented. The situation was also reported to the 2nd Guardianship Council of Rio Branco. The agency confirmed that it received a report of mistreatment against the child and is monitoring her condition. However, he cannot provide further details because the case is under judicial secrecy. The body highlighted that the priority at the moment is to guarantee the care and protection of children and that all measures provided for by law have been adopted. The case is also monitored by the 3rd Specialized Prosecutor's Office for the Defense of Children and Adolescents, of the Public Ministry (MP-AC), and the Justice Department. Request for help Regiane Maciel also told g1 that the child's father arrived at her house with his daughter, on Friday, vomiting blood and signs of extreme severity. The girl's stepmother also appeared at the scene. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and the girl was taken to the Rio Branco Emergency Room. Afterwards, the girl said that she was forced by the woman to drink the liquid. According to the resident, the girl's stepmother presented different versions of what had happened. While at the pastor's house, the girl's father accused his companion of trying to kill his daughter with caustic soda. "He said he would rather be arrested than hand over his partner," said the pastor. Severity Still in the video she posted on social media, the pastor explained that she found out the next day that the girl was hospitalized and was available to stay with her in the hospital. "He told me that she was in a very bad condition and I showed my solidarity, I put myself in the place of mother for the child. I bought hygiene products, shampoo and other products because her head was very smelly. I went there, took her to the bathroom and gave her a bath before the exam", he recalled. The pastor also says, in the post, that the endoscopy examination revealed that the child's organs were seriously injured. "I don't know how to explain it. The doctor said that she is completely inflamed, injured inside because the caustic soda was eating her parts, some of her lungs and her stomach", he lamented. Regiane also reports that the child lives far from his mother and only has his father and stepmother. "Her mother lives in the rubber plantation very far away, she didn't raise her. She's a great girl, very quiet", he says.
