There were 193 deaths in the state, 48 more than the 145 recorded in 2024. In Brazil, 6,602 deaths were recorded in 2025, which represents a rate of 3.1 per 100 thousand inhabitants. In Sergipe, the rate went from 6.3 to 8.4 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants between 2024 and 2025. ? In 2025, it was behind only Amapá (17.1) and Bahia (10.6). What the SSP says The State Secretariat for Public Security of Sergipe (SSP/SE) reported, in a note, that the yearbook data confirms the consistent evolution of public security indicators in the state. In relation to the police lethality indicator, the secretariat said that it maintains permanent policies of training, training and improvement of operational protocols, with a focus on preserving life and the proportional use of force so that the rate decreases.
