Reproduction/EPTV The Federal Police began, on the morning of this Tuesday (14), Operation Ursi to deepen investigations against a criminal group suspected of operating in international drug trafficking. The agents carried out three search and seizure warrants in the cities of São Paulo (SP), Curitiba (PR) and Piraquara (PR). The targets of the action, issued by the Federal Court of Campinas (SP), are the home addresses of two men and one woman. According to the PF, the trio is considered responsible for making the criminal scheme viable through the following fronts: recruiting people to transport drugs; issuance of airline tickets; covering expenses related to international travel. Beginning of the investigation The investigation into the case began in March 2025, after a woman was arrested at Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas. At the time, the passenger was about to board an international flight with around three kilos of cocaine hidden in her luggage. Based on this arrest and the information presented by the corporation, the Court authorized the new phase of the operation launched this Tuesday.
