The action is part of Operation Reduto, which investigates a scheme of fraud in tenders, embezzlement of public resources, money laundering and criminal association in public contracts in Rondônia. According to the Federal Police, the company is being investigated for suspicious financial transactions related to contracts signed in the neighboring state. The operation has the support of the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) and the Public Ministry of the State of Rondônia (MPRO). The investigations began in 2024, after reports from the Financial Activities Control Council (Coaf) highlighted incompatible movements involving the company based in Manaus. ? Two preventive arrest warrants were also issued in Ariquemes, as determined by the Rondônia Court of Justice.

According to the investigation, the suspected group operated on two fronts: one to defraud bids and direct public contracts in Ariquemes and the other to divert public resources through a scheme known as "rachadinha", involving commissioned employees of the Legislative Assembly of Rondônia. According to the Federal Police, those investigated moved more than R$9 million in amounts incompatible with their declared income. The court also ordered the dismissal of 11 public servants and the freezing of goods, financial assets and cryptoactives up to the limit of this value. The measures in this phase of the operation aim to gather new evidence to advance the investigations.
