The suspect was identified based on documents that indicate outstanding installments, even with deductions recorded on the workers' payroll. According to the Public Ministry, the conduct could constitute the crime of embezzlement, as the amounts would have been taken from salaries for a specific purpose, but would not have been intended to pay off the loans. In light of the suspicions, the MPPB requested, on Wednesday (8), the opening of an investigation with the General Police Station of Paraíba to investigate those responsible and identify the total amount that would have been deducted and not passed on. The Public Prosecutor's Office also reported that possible irregularities related to the non-payment of social security contributions and the Service Time Guarantee Fund (FGTS) are not part of the investigation conducted by the body.
