In a statement, the City of Carmo do Rio Claro highlighted that it has not held a public tender for more than two decades and informed that it is awaiting official details to comment on the case. The administration also highlighted the importance of investigations to determine possible irregularities. Carvalhos City Hall reported that it has not yet had access to complete information about the operation and, therefore, is unaware of the circumstances in which the municipality was cited. According to the administration, the company was hired through a regular bidding process and the public tender has not yet been held. Nova Santa Helena City Hall reported that the company was hired through an electronic auction and that the process followed legal procedures, with wide disclosure and transparency. According to the municipality, so far there has been no official notification of the involvement of any company.
