During the action, agents carried out three search and seizure warrants on properties located in the municipalities of Gramado and Igrejinha. The roosters were made available to the responsible bodies, who must arrange their collection. The investigation is ongoing to identify the origin of the birds and verify the possible involvement of other people in a criminal association. The offensive was coordinated by the Environmental Protection Police Department (Dema/Deic) and had the support of state and municipal bodies linked to environmental and agricultural inspection, in addition to the General Institute of Expertise (IGP) and the Environmental Patrol of the Military Brigade (Patram).
