The Araucária municipal health network took another step to strengthen service to the population, with the implementation of new ophthalmological equipment at the Municipal Specialties Center (CEMO). The new structure is already in operation and has started to receive the first patients on the specialty schedule. With two fully equipped rooms, the modernization expands service capacity and offers more quality and precision in consultations, allowing for faster diagnoses and more complete monitoring of patients' eye health. The new devices make it possible to carry out more detailed and complex exams, helping professionals to identify changes early that could not previously be assessed with the same precision. Furthermore, the technology allows several procedures to be carried out in the unit itself, reducing the need for referrals and complementary exams in other services. Now, during the ophthalmological consultation, it is possible to carry out a complete assessment of the health of the eyes, including analyzing the need to use glasses, examining the fundus of the eye, measuring eye pressure and detailed observation of the ocular structures. According to the medical team, the new structure represents an important advance for both professionals and patients. According to these professionals, the new equipment allows for more accurate and complete exams, in addition to expanding service capacity. According to the network's ophthalmologists, the technology allows the identification of changes that were not previously seen with the same quality, offering faster diagnoses and greater safety for patients.
