Data from the Brazilian Public Security Forum indicate that Rondônia had the highest rate of femicides in the country in 2022 and occupied second place in the national ranking in 2025, behind only Acre. As first measures, the MPF requested information from the Ministry of Women to find out whether there are still negotiations for the state's entry into the agreement, whether the state government presented justifications for not joining and which bodies are participating in the negotiations. The MPF also requested clarification from the State Secretariat for Security, Defense and Citizenship (Sesdec) and the Public Ministry of Rondônia (MPRO). To Sesdec, the body questioned the reasons for not adhering to the pact and which state departments are involved in the discussions. The MP-RO asked for information about possible debates or actions related to the topic. The partnership provides for the integration of Central Ligue 180 with state women's protection networks, with the aim of improving the referral and monitoring of reports of gender-based violence. The initiative involves bodies in the areas of public security, health and social assistance. According to the process, adherence to the agreement does not represent new expenses for the states. The proposal is to unify information and improve assistance to victims, in addition to helping to create public policies to combat violence against women. g1 contacted the Government of Rondônia to find out the reasons for not adhering to the pact, but did not receive a response until the last update of this report.
