The child's mother and daycare staff were interviewed by delegate Adriana Guedes, responsible for the case, who reported that there was no evidence of authorship identified so far. "The police station immediately took action, listened to the daycare director, listened to the child's teacher, listened to the caregivers, listened to the assistants. I personally went to the daycare to carry out an inspection. So, the investigations continue. To date, we have no evidence of authorship." The João Pessoa Department of Education, in a statement, stated that “it immediately adopted all applicable administrative measures for the rigorous investigation of the case, in addition to fully cooperating with the investigation conducted by the Civil Police, including making available images from the unit's video monitoring system”. He also highlighted that “the evaluation carried out did not identify elements that corroborated the occurrence of the facts narrated on the school unit’s premises”. She immediately sought medical attention, and the child was taken to the Scientific Police Institute (IPC), where she underwent an examination. "We immediately went to the hospital to be evaluated. And during this evaluation, they had some doubts, but we were referred to the guardianship counselor and, after the procedures at the police station, we went to the IPC to do the sexological examination. And, at the time of the physical examination, the expert confirmed it; she confirmed the sexual abuse of my daughter", reported the mother, who did not want to be identified. In the report, to which g1 had access, the IPC attests that there was no sexual intercourse, but that the injury to the hymen region indicates that the child was the victim of another libidinous act. The report also says that the injury was recent. The child's mother claims that she left her daughter at daycare at around 7:30 am, where the girl remained until 4:30 pm. The woman also says that the girl had no contact with other people at home. Sexological examination confirmed injury to the child's hymen region Reproduction/TV Cabo Branco Photos of the children Employee taking a photo of a child face down and wearing a diaper Reproduction/TV Cabo Branco In images from security cameras accessed by TV Cabo Branco, it is possible to see moments in which photos of children wearing disposable diapers or without clothes are taken by an alleged daycare employee. In one of the videos, the person puts the children to sleep on a mattress, face down, while taking a photo using a cell phone. The camera's flash is on, so it is possible to see with greater precision the moment the recording is made. Employee bends down taking a photo of the child's back Reproduction/TV Cabo Branco In another video, the children are being dressed, probably after bathing, when a supposed employee — it is not possible to determine whether it is the same one from the first video — bends down and takes a photo of one of the children who is facing away and without clothes. Delegate Adriana Guedes reported that the school management said that employees are instructed to inspect the children's bodies and record any injuries. The photos are sent to management, who, in turn, contact the parents. “There is guidance from the daycare manager that, when a child goes to take a bath, the caregivers carry out an inspection of the child's body, from head to toe, and, if they find any type of suggestion that the child is scratched and that there is any injury, any bruises, the guidance is to take a photo and send it directly to the management, who will forward it to the mother and act on that situation”. The Department of Education, however, reported that it was unaware of the procedure and that the employee in question was removed. Note from the Department of Education "The Department of Education and Culture of João Pessoa is publicly providing clarifications regarding the recent complaints involving a school unit in the Municipal Education Network. Given the seriousness of the facts, it reaffirms that the full protection of children and adolescents is an absolute and non-negotiable priority. As soon as it became aware of the complaint presented by the family, referring to events allegedly occurring on April 23, 2026, the Department immediately adopted all applicable administrative measures for the rigorous investigation of the case, in addition to to fully collaborate with the investigation conducted by the Civil Police, including making available the images from the unit's video monitoring system. For this reason, the Metropolitan Civil Guard, responsible for monitoring, was requested to carry out a technical analysis of the preserved images. cited that justified, from administrative and legal aspects, the preventive removal of the employees or the immediate initiation of Administrative Disciplinary Process (PAD). It is important to highlight that the absence, at this moment, of administrative sanctioning measures does not represent the closure of the case. In relation to the photographs allegedly taken by a server, the Secretariat clarifies that such conduct is not part of nor was it guided by any institutional protocol. In cases of this nature, the Municipal Network's guidance is to immediately contact the Guardianship Council and other competent bodies. Finally, the Department of Education and Culture reaffirms that the Municipality of João Pessoa strictly follows the action protocol agreed with the Public Ministry of Paraíba and the Civil Police to deal with sensitive situations involving children and adolescents, maintaining its commitment to legality, transparency, protection of students and full collaboration with investigations".
