There were also roof collapses, falling structures, total interruption of Trensurb operations and damage to buildings. Severe weather caused a tornado in Pedro Osório, in the south of RS, this Thursday. It was the second tornado to hit Rio Grande do Sul within ten days. On July 28, the phenomenon reached the Northwest region, in the municipalities of Giruá, Sete de Setembro and Senador Salgado Filho. The weather forecast indicates that there is still a chance of storms this Friday (7) due to an extratropical cyclone, which has formed over the ocean. Despite the rain forecast for this Friday, the weekend will be solid weather. The highlight of the next few days will be the return of the cold, with minimum temperatures close to 0°C. Throughout this Friday, the cold front moves away and the weather gradually improves in most of the state, with a reduction in rain. The entry of a mass of cold air will cause temperatures to drop until the evening, when the minimum temperatures will be recorded. On the Coast, Metropolitan Region, Valleys and part of the Eastern Half, the cyclone in the ocean favors gusts between 70 and 90 km/h, with the possibility of occasional damage. On Saturday (8), the day will have mostly firm weather in most of Rio Grande do Sul, under the influence of the cold air mass that advances over the state. The dawn will be freezing, with the possibility of frost in regions of the Campaign, Western Border, Center, South and areas of higher altitude. Throughout the afternoon, according to Climatempo Meteorologia, warming favors the formation of new areas of instability between the North and Northeast of the state. In these regions, rain showers may occur accompanied by isolated thunderstorms, lightning and possible hail between the afternoon and evening. In other areas, the weather remains firm. On Sunday (9), the sun will appear between clouds in practically all of Rio Grande do Sul. Only the north of the state will still be able to record light and isolated rain. Dawn will be quite cold, with minimum temperatures close to 0°C in several areas and the formation of frost.
