The work received an investment of more than R$860 thousand and is scheduled for completion in October this year. The objective is to reinforce the stability of the slope and reduce the risk of landslides in the mountain section. In recent years, the highway had to be closed preventatively due to the risk of falling rocks. In December 2024 and December 2025, there were lockdowns for this reason. In 2026, another three total blockages were carried out due to the high volume of rain. According to the concessionaire, the expectation is that the work will reduce the need for new total closures of Mogi-Bertioga and reduce the risk of landslides. In case of heavy rain or unfavorable weather conditions, services may be rescheduled. Drivers are advised to respect the signs and reduce speed when passing through the section under construction.
