Ship stranded in Macaé begins to be prepared for removal The Ship Skandi Amazonas, which is stranded on the camper beach, in Macaé, in the Lagos Region, may have its days numbered for removal. The grounding occurred on May 15, when the vessel hit a rock bank, which caused the hull to rupture and water to enter part of the unit. To avoid sinking, an intentional grounding maneuver was carried out as a safety measure to avoid worsening the occurrence. ? Follow the g1 Norte Fluminense channel on WhatsApp. The vessel provides anchoring services for Petrobrás, but belongs to the Norwegian company DOF.
