According to the first information gathered, the motivation for the murder is related to an argument between the owner and the suspects. "There was a disagreement there regarding payments for rent, water, electricity. From these disagreements, it ended up evolving into a fight, which then resulted in this brutality, where two men took the life of an elderly man", reported the delegate. Given the information gathered by the investigation, the agents went to the location, where they found the body buried in the backyard. "The brutality of how this crime was carried out and committed is striking, because when this elderly man was unearthed, it was possible to see that his hands and feet were tied, and there was a rope around the victim's neck", described Matte. After finding the body, police identified and located the two tenants, aged 20 and 30. According to the corporation, during the approach one of them tried to escape.
