Led by actor Marcos Frota, the circus brings together traditional arena attractions and an amusement park. The proposal, according to the organization, is to function as an “entertainment city”. Marcos Frota confirmed his presence at the opening of the season. Outside, the public will find a Ferris wheel, carousel and a large food court. "We are the first circus in Latin America to integrate the ring with electronic music in a structured way, with an exclusive DJ on stage, creating a contemporary sensorial experience", explains Erick Dantas, marketing and commercial director. Despite technological changes, Marcos Frota emphasizes that the essence continues to be the physical effort and talent of the artists. One of the highlights of the tour is the Pendulum, an attraction in which professionals perform acrobatics 15 meters high on a rotating structure, without the use of safety cables. "The circus had to reinvent itself, the presence of animals stopped and a new mentality came in. Technology came in at the service of talent. Everyone leaves home today to live an experience. It's to be there with friends, in the bathrooms, in the food court, on the Ferris wheel, and share the adrenaline that the show proposes", says the actor. "I used to call it the City of Joy, but today my team now calls it the City of Magic. It's a huge responsibility to keep equipment like this traveling around the country from Tuesday to Sunday", says Frota. The actor also cites concerns about the structure of the bathrooms to receive the public. According to him, the space has the standard of a shopping center and tends to surprise visitors. "If we call the circus our home, when you welcome someone, you have to have hot coffee and a clean bathroom. Today people line up and can't believe how we manage to maintain a standard shopping mall bathroom inside a traveling circus." The new tour's connection with Ribeirão Preto goes beyond the premiere location. The artistic direction of the show is led by Ribeirão Preto musician Rico, former member of the band Placa Luminosa, a national rock group from the 80s. According to Frota, the presence of a director focused on this area is a characteristic adapted from theater and large shows, which makes all the difference to the organization and synchrony of the team. "Everything must have a conductor. Switches off, on, the score, the text, everything is masterfully conducted by this artistic direction to reach the grand finale, when the entire community comes together to celebrate", concludes the actor.
