Piccolo gained recognition on social media by exposing laws considered “unknown” by internet users, calling himself 'Boy of the Law' in his profile biography. Many of his videos, produced from other viral cases, provide explanations of articles and excerpts from federal, state and municipal laws. The content covers everything from criminal to civil and labor rules. Despite the focus on Law, the influencer has already admitted, in responses to followers, that he does not have higher education in the area. Influencer Gabriel Piccolo, known on social media as “Menino da Lei”, has more than 3 million followers on social media. Social networks Before his internet fame, g1 found that he worked in Praia Grande as a salesman in two furniture stores for more than two years and as a sales consultant in an electronics company for around five months. Convicted The process began after the influencer published the video in which he argued with the real estate businessman. Piccolo stopped the car in the company's parking lot and started recording after they asked him to remove the vehicle from the location. In the images, Gabriel claimed that the space was public and that the sidewalk curb had been irregularly lowered. "And the law protects your right. You citizens can park your cars freely because if this kind of thing happens to you, film the situation," said Piccolo. The trade defense highlighted that the situation occurred due to the misinterpretation of an article from the National Traffic Council (Contran), which prohibits the allocation of part of the road for private parking. First instance decision defined that influencer will not compensate real estate owner after exposure of fight over parking on social media Social Networks The lawyers maintained that the store is located in a section where parking on public roads is not permitted. “If there are no public spaces available at the location, there is no appropriation of public space,” argued the defense. The owner of the real estate company asked for R$80,000 in moral damages. In September 2025, the lower court denied the request on the grounds that the store was not directly identified in the video. The businessman appealed, and the TJ-SP reformed the sentence. The court understood that Piccolo did not have “minimum responsibility” in presenting the case. The magistrates recognized that, even without the name of the company, identification was possible because Internet users recognized the business through the images. "The way in which the content was presented to the public went beyond the mere report of interpretative doubt. The videos were released in the tone of public denunciation, suggesting irregularity committed by the authors before an audience of millions of people", pointed out judge Rogério Cimino. Praia Grande Court considered that influencers have the right to freedom of expression Social Networks The TJ-SP set the compensation at R$30,000, divided equally between the business and the owner. The court rejected the request for public retraction and the general ban on future statements by the influencer on the topic. Defense of the real estate agency Lawyer Diego Guimarães Borba, who represents the business, stated that the objective of the process was to hold the influencer responsible for the publications. "When an influencer exposes people or companies without the slightest verification of the facts, the damage to reputation can be immediate and, often, irreversible [...] This type of conduct can mislead thousands of people", declared the lawyer.
