See below: Bank branches The Bank Workers Union of Maranhão (Seeb-MA) informed that bank branches will be closed this Tuesday (28). Bills due on public holidays can be paid on Wednesday (29). Banking services and payments can be made via Internet Banking or on Wednesday (29). Commerce Street commerce and shopping centers located on the Big Island (São Luís, São José de Ribamar, Paço do Lumiar and Raposa) are authorized to operate during this Tuesday's holiday (28), according to the Federation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism of the State of Maranhão (Fecomércio-MA). The agreement signed between the entity, business and commercial unions, through the Collective Labor Convention, provides that street establishments, avenues, galleries and shopping centers can operate from 8 am to 6 pm. Shopping centers are open from 10am to 10pm. The conditions do not apply to establishments considered essential services such as pharmacies and supermarkets, which follow specific rules. Supermarkets Supermarkets should open normally throughout the day this Tuesday (28). Public bodies Due to the state holiday, only services considered essential must operate in public offices of the State during Tuesday (28), according to the State Secretariat for Administration (Sead). São Luís City Hall informed that on Tuesday (28), municipal administration bodies and agencies will operate differently, on duty. Essential and emergency services such as health, public cleaning, Municipal Guard, traffic inspection and public transport are maintained.
