According to police, he was arriving home around 4am when he was attacked by two hooded men. According to information from the Amazonas Civil Police (PC-AM), Fábio was inside the car when he was surprised by the suspects. After the shots, the criminals fled on foot and have not yet been identified. The victim's wife, Janaína de Paula Paulino, 23 years old, told the police that the two were returning from work and were preparing to park the vehicle in front of the residence when the attack happened. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was at the scene and confirmed the death. The Legal Medical Institute (IML) then removed the body, while experts carried out investigation procedures at the crime scene. The motivation for the murder is still unknown. The case was registered at the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS), which investigates the crime and seeks to identify the perpetrators.
