A short time later, the driver and passenger of the vehicle were located by police officers. During the approach, the military found 83 grams of cocaine, R$470 in cash and two cell phones in the car. The two men were taken to the Central de Flagrantes. After being interviewed, the passenger was released. The driver refused to take a breathalyzer test and was charged with the crimes of drunk driving, bodily harm, drug trafficking, failure to provide assistance and active corruption.
