According to the Civil Police, the suspect gained the victim's trust by saying he was a lawyer and thus got the money. The crime is provided for in article 171 of the Penal Code and carries a penalty of one to five years in prison, in addition to a fine. When the victim is an elderly person, the legislation provides for an increase in the sentence.
