The suspect was located hiding in a house in the city of Pinheiro, where he had served a temporary arrest warrant issued by the 1st Court of the District of Viana. ? The Civil Police reported that the second suspect has not yet been arrested and is still being sought. When she answered, believing it was her husband, she was surprised by two men. According to the victim, the suspects initially tried to rape her inside the room. She stated that she resisted and tried to ask for help, but was attacked and taken to the back of the residence, where she was forced to have sexual intercourse. The woman also reported that she asked for help throughout the action. The dogs in the house started barking and, in an attempt to scare away the criminals, she said that her husband was arriving. The information would have scared the suspects, who fled the scene. Before fleeing, they stole the victim's cell phone. After the crime, the regional delegate of Viana represented the temporary arrest of those investigated, a measure authorized by the Court. During the searches, the police received information that one of the suspects had left Viana and was hiding in Pinheiro, in a neighborhood close to the city's landfill. Based on the information gathered by the investigation, teams from the Pinheiro Regional Police Station, with support from the Intelligence Service of the 10th Military Police Battalion (10th BPM), carried out investigations and located the person being investigated inside a residence. According to police, he was found hiding under a bed. The arrest was formalized and communicated to the Judiciary by the delegate on duty in Pinheiro. The suspect was then sent to the Pinheiro Prison Resocialization Unit (UPR), where he remains at the disposal of the courts. The Civil Police reported that the investigation remains ongoing to identify and arrest the second suspect.
