Server strike affects health and education in Divinópolis The Divinópolis City Council sanctioned on Wednesday night (8) the law that modifies the statute of the Divinópolis Servers Pension Institute (Diviprev). The new standard changes the rules for retirement, pension and transition for permanent employees. According to the Executive, the current pension regime accumulated a deficit that, if not addressed, could compromise the municipality's financial balance and put Diviprev's sustainability at risk in the coming decades. ? The City Hall filed a lawsuit asking for the movement to be declared illegal. In the action, the Municipality orders the full return of all employees to public activities, under penalty of deductions from employees' salaries, in addition to a daily fine imposed in solidarity with the unions and personally with their respective presidents. Before the vote, the Executive presented a modifying message to the original project incorporating suggestions made by councilors and civil servant representatives. Among the changes are transition rules considered more favorable for those who are close to retiring and adjustments related to the permanence benefit.
