Athlete Justino Pedro da Silva, with a 24-year career and two-time Rio Marathon champion, expressed great enthusiasm after coming fifth in the elite 15km race, completing the race in 45 minutes and 46 seconds. He described the third edition of the event as an immense pleasure to run in the city and highlighted that the race is becoming one of the main ones in Brazil, mainly due to its gold seal, which validates it for Brazilian rankings. Justino mentioned having achieved his personal best in the race the previous year, which resulted in an athlete scholarship and national call-ups. Making his debut in the race, runner Joelson Pereira, known as Dhioca, from Guanambi, Bahia, has a decade of experience in athletics and was amazed by the structure of the event.
