Disclosure/PF An integrated action by security forces this Thursday (6) dismantled an illegal mining operation in the Barão/Serra Dourada Project region, in Canaã dos Carajás, in the southeast of Pará. The operation aimed to combat the irregular extraction of gold and copper in the area. ?? Last Wednesday (5), a PF operation also worked to combat illegal mining in the municipality of Santa Maria das Barreiras, in the south of Pará. ? Receive news from g1 Pará directly on WhatsApp The integrated action on Thursday (6) was part of the 4th phase of Operation Federal Extractio II, with the participation of the Federal Police, the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) and the National Force. According to the teams, the estimated financial impact on the structures used in illegal activity was R$1.25 million. The value considers unused machinery, seized assets and issued infraction notices. During the operation, a hydraulic excavator was disabled and another was seized, remaining under the responsibility of a loyal custodian. Six camps, a thousand liters of diesel oil, 13 electric motors, four generators, two stationary engines, two motor pumps and a trailer were also rendered unusable. The teams also seized two motorcycles, a hammer and a chainsaw. At the scene, 58 explosive emulsion cartridges, 50 fuses, 20 meters of detonating cord and around 400 grams of marijuana were found.
