The operation was carried out by the Municipal Finance Department, through Posture Inspection, and aimed to reduce visual pollution, organize the occupation of public space and adapt the installation of advertisements to municipal regulations. During the action, old advertisements and structures that were not in accordance with the legislation were removed. The municipal secretary of Finance, Ivone Pivanti, informed that the initiative is part of permanent urban planning work. According to her, the first stage focused on removing irregular structures and included the collaboration of traders in the region. Also according to the secretary, the next phase involves updating the advertisements installed on site, following the criteria defined by municipal legislation. The City Hall informed that new inspection and organization actions of public spaces will be carried out in other parts of the municipality.
