Regarding expectations for the performance, he said he just wants inspiration so that words and creativity flow during the dispute. "It's a mix of nervousness and anxiety. I don't think I've got it yet. I just want to rhyme lightly on the day", he says. Mano Bratz was the winner of the selection made by Batalha da Aldeia in the last one (18). The final took place on the same night that the band Lizium, from Niterói (RJ), won the band competition and joined the festival's line-up. The MC says that the rhyme is what gave him perspective on life. "When I was a boy, I thought it wouldn't amount to much. What changed my view was the battles, it was the rap. Being on a giant stage makes others who think like me see that it's possible." This is the first time that the festival has opened space for MCs from Ribeirão Preto to be part of the biggest Brazilian music festival in the country. The finalists in the dispute with MC Mano Batz were selected over the course of four hearings that took place at Praça da Cidadania, Parque Ribeirão, Cine Cauim and the XV de Novembro and Sete de Setembro squares, in the city center, from the end of June to the 16th of July. Those registered were able to present their improvised rhymes, using versatility, repertoire and agility, to leave their messages inspired by social criticism, urban reality and diversity.
