Goitaca Film Festival Archive Goitacá Film Festival The II Goitacá International Film Festival has extended registrations for the Training Program, which offers free courses, mini-courses and mentoring in the audiovisual area, until July 29th. The initiative is aimed at students, professionals and those interested in the sector. The activities will be carried out between the 6th and 11th of August, during the festival, in Campos dos Goytacazes, in the North of Fluminense, and São João da Barra, in partnership with the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (Uenf). According to the organization, the number of places for courses and short courses has been increased. The program includes training on scriptwriting, direction, documentary techniques and distribution strategies for short films at festivals. Registration is free. ? One of the new features of this edition is the partnership with Projeto Paradiso, through the Paradiso Multiplica program. The initiative will select up to three short film projects in the development phase to receive individual online mentoring with professionals from the audiovisual market, in addition to an in-person masterclass during Cine Market Goitacá. According to the director of Quiprocó Filmes and creator of the festival, Fernando Sousa, the proposal is to strengthen audiovisual production in the interior of the state and increase the qualifications of filmmakers in the region. According to the organization, the festival received 2,202 submissions of works from 107 countries, consolidating itself as one of the main showcases for independent cinema in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
