The factory is in the Itaipava neighborhood. Firefighters were called at 3:29 p.m. More than 113 thousand liters of water had been used by 8 pm. The cause of the fire is still unknown, according to firefighters. The AMC Têxtil Group said in a statement that the fire affected the warehouse and raw materials sector. "The company's contingency plan was activated and all employees on site were evacuated safely, with no casualties," he declared. The fire brigades operate on four simultaneous fronts: in the rear - with two trucks, replenished by two other vehicles; one on the sides - with two more trucks, protecting a warehouse not affected by the fire; on another side - using a ladder and a tank; at the bottom of the building - with a truck. By 8pm, fire engines from Itajaí, Itapema, Brusque and Blumenau had been mobilized, with support from the Volunteer Fire Department of Ilhota, Pomerode, Indaial and Navegantes. Two backhoes from Itajaí City Hall were also sent to the fire site to help with the firefighting work. The AMC Têxtil Group operates in the fashion market.
