House abandoned for 4 months on top of truck threatens to collapse near school Karina Dela Bruna/Reproduction Structural risks and community concerns According to the director of Criciúma Civil Defense, Fred Gomes, the house presents severe structural problems and is tilted to the right, creating an imminent risk for those passing through the region. "The house is leaning to the right. Children playing nearby could be seriously injured if the structure falls. The steel cables have already come loose and the rails that support the house on the body are bending. The situation is precarious and represents a real danger", warned the director. The truck is parked on land next to the Casimiro Stachurski School and close to the Polish Community Center, areas where children and pedestrians circulate. In addition to the damage to the house, the truck itself was in precarious physical and structural condition, making it impossible to leave by own means. Due to the risk to public safety, the Civil Defense contacted the Military Police and the Traffic Department to issue a fine and organize the removal via tow truck.
