The case happened at km 310. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the agents were on a routine patrol on the road towards Rio de Janeiro (RJ), when they approached the couple's vehicle. According to the corporation, the police observed contradictions in the driver's responses regarding the route and reason for the trip. According to the corporation, the couple confessed that they carried perfumes and weight-loss pens. The agents then carried out a detailed search inside the vehicle and located, in addition to the products mentioned, several ampoules of anabolic steroids. In total, 71 boxes of perfumes, 35 boxes of anabolic steroids and 27 boxes of weight loss medication were found, all without tax documentation or authorization from regulatory bodies. The suspects and all seized material were taken to the Resende police station, where the case was registered as embezzlement and smuggling.
