To register and begin the civil marriage qualification process, interested parties must present an original and copy of the following documents: birth certificate (for singles); marriage certificate with divorce endorsement (for divorced people); spouse's death certificate (for widowers); authorization from parents or guardians, if one of the bride and groom is under 18; official identification document with photo and CPF; proof of residence; handwritten declaration from each bride and groom expressing their desire to marry; contact telephone number; identification documents (RG or CIN and CPF) of two witnesses.
