Civil police officer's partner and in-laws found in car trunk are arrested; victim was hanged

Daniela Cunha Moreira was assigned to the 124th DP (Saquarema) and was supposed to start her shift on Friday morning (24). As she did not show up for work, colleagues found her absence strange, as, despite having been at the unit for a short time, she was not usually absent. The police tried to contact the agent on her cell phone and found that the last view on a messaging app had occurred at around 2:30 am. They were also unable to speak to the victim's partner. Given the lack of answers, teams went to the house where the couple lived, in Saquarema, but found no one. Monitoring led to the victim's car With the license plate number of Daniela's vehicle, the Civil Police began monitoring the car's route and identified that another car followed the police officer's vehicle during the early hours and morning of Friday, traveling between Saquarema and Iguaba Grande. After identifying the license plate of this second vehicle, the agents arrived at a house in Iguaba Grande. At the property, police initially found a man and a woman. At the back of the residence, they located a car covered by a tarp. The man reported that the vehicle belonged to his son, but, when checking the license plate, the agents found that it was Daniela's car. According to the investigation, the man changed his version and stated that the police officer had passed by the house and gone for a walk. Forensics were called and found Daniela dead in the back seat of the car. Father confessed to participation, says investigation According to the Civil Police, Adilson confessed that he received a call from his daughter informing him that he had doped Daniela and asking for help. According to the investigation, their relationship was going through a crisis and the police officer had already rented another property to move into. Investigators say the father went to the couple's residence in Saquarema, where he and his daughter decided to kill Daniela. According to the investigation, Catiana hanged her partner while Adilson held the victim to death from asphyxiation. Afterwards, the two placed the body in the police car and headed to Iguaba Grande, where they intended to hide the body and, later, dispose of it. Images analyzed by the Civil Police also show that, after leaving the body at the house, Adilson took his daughter to work around 11 am and then returned to the residence. Investigations indicate that Ana Teresa Rodrigues dos Santos helped hide the corpse and, therefore, was also arrested. The case is investigated by the 124th DP (Saquarema) together with the Niterói, São Gonçalo and Itaboraí Homicide Police Station (DHNSG), which investigates the dynamics of the crime and the participation of each of those involved.
